BP Buys $100M of Tesla Chargers for U.S. cities

This is the first time Tesla has sold its charging stations to another company.

While most EV drivers today refill their batteries in home garages, the gas station industry is betting that will change as apartment dwellers and others without their own place to plug in start to go electric, said Linnea Geiss, the chief operating officer of PDI Technologies, which makes enterprise software for convenience stores.

“On-the-go charging is going to be a much more prevalent experience than it is today,” she said.
