The Future of EV
Annual electric vehicle (EV) sales in the U.S. are on track to surpass one million for the first time. China and Europe are the largest EV markets: 60% of global electric vehicle sales occur in China, and more than one in every five cars sold in Europe in 2022 was electric, thanks in part to European Union legislation regarding new CO2 standards. Across the globe, consumer demand for EVs is rising—and so is the need for accessible EV charging.
This presents a huge business opportunity for EV and the convenience industry.
For nearly 100 years, convenience stores have continually evolved to meet changing consumer demand. C-stores are now the go-to place for all types of everyday essentials and amenities—a cup of coffee, a car wash, a hot meal to rival leading quick service restaurants, a lottery ticket if you’re feeling lucky, or secure guest Wi-Fi.
And, of course, the fuel-up. Just as c-stores are strategically located for fueling up, they’re also prime real estate for charging EVs.
