Technology Association of Georgia Honors 40 Companies for Innovation and Contributions to the State’s Technology Community.
ATLANTA, GEORGIA – March 2, 2020 (Business Wire) — PDI, a leading global provider of enterprise software solutions to the convenience retail, wholesale petroleum, and logistics industries, was selected as one of the Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies in Georgia by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).
“PDI has a rich history of innovation, and we’re incredibly proud to be selected by TAG and named alongside other technology leaders in Georgia,” said Chris Berry, chief technology officer at PDI. “PDI’s cloud and mobile solutions help our customers take on digital transformation with confidence. We look forward to collaborating and co-innovating with academic institutions, associations and businesses in Georgia and around the world.”
PDI’s submission focused on its Logistics Cloud solution which analyzes historical trends, captures near real-time data from IoT devices, and uses machine learning to help fuel carriers eliminate fuel run-outs for convenience store customers at the pump.
“We strive to give our customers the tools they need to increase visibility, optimize their operations and improve fuel margins,” said Sid Gaitonde, senior vice president and general manager of Logistics Solutions at PDI. “PDI Logistics Cloud does exactly that, using algorithms with over 99 percent accuracy to enable customers to maximize the number of gallons for each delivery, reduce split loads and diversions, and eliminate preventable run-outs.”
TAG’s Top 40 Awards recognize Georgia-based technology companies for their innovation, financial impact, and their efforts at spreading awareness of Georgia’s technology initiatives throughout the U.S. and globally. This year’s Top 40 were selected from among over 100 applications submitted by companies from across Georgia.
“The 2020 Top 40 finalists are an elite group of innovators who represent the very best of Georgia’s Technology community,” said Larry K. Williams, president & CEO of TAG. “The 2020 Top 40 finalists are shining examples of what makes our state such a hotbed for technology and we applaud them for standing out as leaders in Georgia’s technology community.”
TAG will recognize this prestigious group at The Summit 2020 on March 3-4, 2020, at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Chris Berry, along with other members of the PDI team, will be in attendance.
